Hockey IQ Rules

1. Organizer

The Hockey IQ prediction game is organized by Fan Apps SIA / UseAward (hereinafter – the Organizer).

2. Game Description

Hockey IQ is an interactive hockey prediction game where participants predict hockey match results and collect points in the overall leaderboard.

Participation in the game is free of charge.

3. Participation

To participate in the game, participants must:

  • submit predictions before the official start of each game,
  • provide correct contact information (if required for prize delivery),
  • comply with these rules.

Each participant may use only one profile/account.

The Organizer reserves the right to restrict or disqualify participants in cases of suspicious or unfair activity.

4. Prediction Submission

Predictions may be submitted until the official start time of each match.

After the match has started:

  • predictions can no longer be submitted,
  • predictions can no longer be edited or deleted.

Predictions apply to the final result of the game, including:

  • overtime,
  • shootouts, if applicable.

5. Point System

Points are awarded only for correctly submitted and saved predictions.

Point Allocation:

  • Exact match result prediction — 100 points
  • Correct prediction in special prediction categories — 300 points:
    • tournament winner,
    • best group stage team,
    • tournament top scorer,
    • team with the most penalty minutes,
    • Latvia national team top scorer.

No points are awarded for incorrect predictions.

The Organizer reserves the right to adjust the point system for specific activities or special tournaments.

The Organizer reserves the right to review and correct point calculations in case of technical errors.

6. Leaderboard

Participants collect points throughout the entire game period.

Higher ranking positions are awarded to participants with the highest number of points.

If multiple participants have the same number of points, the higher position will be awarded to the participant who reached the score earlier.

The Organizer’s decision regarding results and rankings is final.

7. Prizes

Prizes and prize descriptions are published on the Hockey IQ platform or related communication materials.

Winners will be contacted via:

  • email,
  • or other contact information provided by the participant.

If a winner does not provide the required information for prize delivery within 14 days after being contacted, the Organizer reserves the right to select another winner.

Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative prizes.

8. Unfair Activity

The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify participants in cases of:

  • use of multiple accounts,
  • use of automated tools or bots,
  • manipulation of results,
  • any other suspicious or unfair activity.

In case of disqualification, all collected points and prize eligibility will be cancelled.

9. Personal Data and Privacy

By participating in the game, participants agree to the processing of their personal data in accordance with the Organizer’s Privacy Policy.

The Organizer may process participant data for:

  • game administration,
  • result tracking,
  • communication with winners,
  • platform improvement and analytics.

10. Organizer Rights

The Organizer reserves the right to:

  • modify these rules at any time,
  • suspend or terminate the game due to technical, legal, or security reasons,
  • correct technical errors or inaccuracies in score calculations.

Any rule changes become effective once published on the platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Organizer is not responsible for:

  • technical issues,
  • internet or device malfunctions,
  • incomplete prediction submissions,
  • third-party platform disruptions.
