Riga, Latvia — September, 2026 — Fan Apps, developer of the UseAward fan engagement platform, and the Latvijas Basketbola savienība (LBS) today announced a season-long partnership to power interactive fan experiences throughout the 2026–2027 Užavas kauss basketball cup, running from August 2026 through February 2027.

The collaboration brings a dedicated tournament hub to Užavas Kauss fans, combining a custom-built landing page with a suite of UseAward-powered activities designed to deepen fan engagement across the full length of the season.

“We wanted to give Užavas Kauss fans a reason to stay connected between games, not just during them,” said Salvis Metra, representing LBS on the project. “This partnership lets us build a real relationship with our audience over the course of the whole season, round by round. This was a logical next step in our collaboration. Last season, we ran a first project together during the Užavas kauss final, and it worked so well that expanding it into a full-season partnership was the obvious move.”

What Fans Can Expect

Throughout the tournament, fans will be able to take part in:

  • Interactive quizzes testing basketball knowledge and Užavas Kauss trivia
  • MVP voting letting fans recognize standout players after each round
  • Prediction games: a skill-and-knowledge-based game where fans forecast match outcomes for bragging rights and prizes, with no wagering or betting involved

All activities are built on the UseAward platform and embedded directly into the tournament landing page, giving fans a single, consistent destination to engage with Užavas Kauss all season long.

A Season-Long, Not Single-Event, Approach

Unlike one-off campaign activations, the Fan Apps and LBS partnership is structured to run continuously across the tournament’s full calendar, from the opening rounds in August through the finals in February. The platform is built to scale with the competition as it progresses, activating new content and prediction opportunities round by round.

The initiative also gives LBS a structured way to gather first-party fan data through dedicated engagement channels, helping the federation better understand and grow its fan base over time.

“A single campaign gives you a spike. A full season gives you a relationship. That’s what matters here: LBS ends the tournament not just with engaged fans, but with the first-party data to understand and grow its fanbase for years to come.” — Anrijs Brencāns, CEO, Fan Apps
